My Sheep is Jumping over............

Have you ever counted sheep?

                I have. Many times.

Not that I own a ranch house.

Then don't you want to know where I counted them? You don't have to .You already  know it  because like me, you too  have done it so many times.

It is a very exciting feeling. To imagine an  unending line of fleecy lambs waiting patiently  to jump over a fence.

                 I start counting. "one,two,three,four"......... .

I visualize the eagerness of the lambs. One by one they are jumping over the fence  looking at me with their big, round eyes  and I keep on counting. "Fifty five, fifty six, fifty seven, fifty eight......................

The tall trees in the  green meadow sway in the wind and bees hum overhead. Gentle breeze soothes me.I feel calm and quiet."Hundred and one, hundred and two, hundred and three"..............

My heavy  eye lids lean on the eyes for support.

                              "Two hundred and ninety nine.......

  1. Does it really work with you, Blue Lotus? Well, It didn't with me. I need a book to fall asleep. And I have the table lamp also placed strategically to switch off easily as I drop the book. Nothing else works with me.
And can you remember how Mr Bean worked around this problem? :D

    1. Yes.Almost always.Your option is also something I have experimented and it is also truly workable. but unfortunately I am not in a position to do it as I am sharing the bed with my BH who has a phobia for light.
I can't remember how Mr.Bean worked it out and even the mention of Mr.Bean brings a smile to my lips. Can u help me to recollect it? By the way did u have a look at that WS?

    2. Ooops! That sure is no option then. Mr Bean tries sheep, also. Then he gets frustrated by counting and he does the calculation by multiplying height into width. He also has a pistal to shoot off the light bulb as he starts dozing off and his bedside cupboard is full of extra bulbs...
      Well what's WS?

    3. Very funny! Though I have watched many of his films I can't remember that scene.
I have fixed the word verification problem with my limited knowledge of technicalities of the web but the other problems are beyond me.Anyway I'll have a look.I have sent u a link to a certain web site and that is what is refereed as WS.

  2. Dear Blue Lotus,
This word verification is really discouraging. If you can remove it, it would be a great help. And the scroll bar is covered by those pop up buttons and scrolling up and down needs a lot of patience. And the Send Feedback button is covering the bottom scrolling arrow making it hopelessly inaccessible.

  3. Mr bean was the very 1st thing (one) came to my mind also as a read this. :-)

Anyway, i must say i have never ever experienced this problem... :D

  5. When you are very tired, you think that bed is the only treasure you have!
